Welcome
Hello!
My name is Rebekah Jenkins. I am a 20-year-old single mother, full time student, full time delivery driver, and I've wanted to be a writer since I was in elementary school.
My journey with writing began when I was in the fourth grade. My teacher had assigned grammar homework from our textbooks that were kept under our desks and after I had finished, I decided to write a story. It wasn't the next great novel by any means, but my teacher Mrs. Pierson called me over after I had her read it. She asked if I had copied it from a real book, and I said no. I got nervous because I thought I was in trouble, but she looked at me and told me it was excellent, that I shoud consider writing more. And here I am today, doing just that.
I write nonfiction and poetry, and I'm going for an English degree with a concentration in Creative Writing. I want this blog to serve as a space for my writing, where I can publish into the world and not just to my classes. Most of my writing weaves together or has one major overlapping theme. I hope you find something you like, or you share something with your friend or grandparent or therapist.
Thank you for taking the time to read and to be here.
